Property manager / owners' rep in San Francisco is looking for a skilled and reliable handyman and assistant property manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will work closely with our property management team to provide high-quality handyman, repair, and maintenance services for our homeowner's primary residences (not rental properties).
This is a flexible, hourly, contract role to start (between 10-30 hours/week), with most appointments occurring on weekdays during business hours.
We're looking for folks with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a positive problem solving mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactive maintenance – you'll keep major appliances and home systems maintained on an established schedule. This might include replacing filters, checking batteries, and other similar tasks
- Home improvements & minor repairs – you'll mount artwork, caulk cracks, patch drywall, touch-up paint, adjust fixtures, and other similar tasks that come up in the home
- Basic electrical work, like installing light fixtures & thermostats, replacing light switches, and troubleshooting outlets
- Basic plumbing work, like fixing leaks, installing faucets, clearing clogged drains, and more
- Other property management tasks, like picking up packages for return, taking in the mail while a household is out on vacation, hanging holiday lights, or filling car tires with air when needed
- Member communication & interaction – you'll be expected to have a professional and presentable demeanor in all your homeowner & team interactions
ADDITIONAL INFO
- This is a contract role to start, 10-30 hours a week with the opportunity to increase hours over time.
- This role is flexible around your schedule. We're primarily looking for weekday and early evening hours, but can work around your availability.
- You'll be fully supported – management of requests, scheduling, communication, and parts/materials ordering is handled for you, so you can focus on the work itself.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of experience in a handyman, property maintenance, or technician role, ideally in higher-end residential homes.
- Strong knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques.
- Quality work and attention to detail is a priority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – you'll be interacting with homeowners and need to be clear, direct, helpful, and professional.
- You have your own general handyman tools, and can use them safely and effectively.
- You have your own vehicle, and can reliably travel to homes around SF and the Bay Area. (Tolls are reimbursed.)
- A clean background check and drivers license

- $35-$40/hour
